Arrived on time, in excellent condition; great design.
Immediately built the ship upon arrival. The pieces popped out with ease and most fit snugly. Only issues with loose pieces are with the ladder at the back of the cabin, a "bolt" near the propeller, and the ship itself doesn't fit too securely to the wave display/stand. You may want to glue it on to make sure it doesn't fall off accidentally and snap the wood (though the model does come with spare parts for the thinner/easily lost pieces).
The wood is obviously a bit fragile and bendy so everything fits, but so long as you're careful, it comes together very nicely! No tools required. I'm going to paint mine soon and reinforce a couple things so I can keep the model for a long while.
Shipping got 4 stars only because tracking got a bit funky and delayed, likely due to the holidays, but everything arrived safely and unbroken.

This kit is really impressive! It’s definitely time consuming, but that’s part of the fun. Each piece is well made and fits together nicely, so you don’t have to worry about frustrating gaps or poorly cut parts. It’s the kind of project that keeps you engaged and really feels rewarding as you see it come together.The finished product is beautiful. My daughter loves it, and I love that it lights up with the touch LED. It adds a really charming effect, especially on a shelf or desk. The colors and details are high quality, and it feels sturdy and well constructed.It makes an amazing gift for anyone who enjoys crafts, miniatures, or kawaii decor. Even if you’re not super into crafting, the quality and design make it satisfying to display once it’s done. Overall, it’s a really fun, creative, and well thought out kit that gives a lot of enjoyment from start to finish.
This is my second Hello Kitty book nook set. This set is the Sweet Shop. The kit includes everything you need including a large hello kitty figure. The price point is a bit high, but it is good quality, and in line with better quality and themed book nook kits. The colors are vibrant, and the instructions are clear, making this a fun and straight forward book nook set to complete. Recommended for Hello Kitty fans.

I love 3D wooden puzzles and book nook kits. I've done dozens now. I've lost track.This is one of the better book nook kits I've seen by a large margin. It's not perfect. The included tape is not strong enough for everything they ask of it, and I had to pull out glue. I also had to glue down some things that wouldn't have stayed put otherwise. I would have given a 4.5 star rating if possible because of that.However, that was it.Everything else was VERY smooth, so I erred towards 5 stars.The wood quality was fantastic. I had zero accidental breakage, and the pieces separated very cleanly. I did my usual sanding and marking over the breakage lines to hide them, but it was not necessary for this book nook to look nice.Everything fit as expected. Nearly every wood join was the kind of snug you want. I did have some trouble getting paper pieces to slide in their slits, but I cut a sliver off the edge and that worked marvelously to get them in enough that I could tug them the rest of the way.It's very cute on completion, and it works on rechargeable batteries, which is always nice.There were very few tricky steps at all. I think most people with patience and attention to detail could complete this set even without prior experience, so long as they had some wood glue or B-7000 on hand for the parts where tape wasn't enough.It's a really nice kit. Just note that there is no dust cover, nor easy way to add one without blocking the on switch for the lights.
I absolutely adore this Hello Kitty book nook! I’ve had a love–hate relationship with book nooks in the past because some can be overly complicated to assemble, but this one was a total joy to put together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the finished piece is just fabulous. The quality is excellent, the sizing is perfect, and the colors are spot-on. Every little detail is charming and really brings the design to life. If you’re new to building book nooks, this is a fantastic one to start with—I’d 100% recommend it to any Hello Kitty fan or book nook enthusiast!
